I'm trying as we speak to figure out if the words were public domain when I recorded it and copyrighted that CD to find out if I'll get arrested if I sue her. If I'm in the clear, I'm TOTALLY SUEING JONI MITCHELL!!!!!!!!!!!

Annie, one of these days this comming summer, when we have our babies in our trendy ergo carriers we'll have to go to some park in Lafayette and have some kind of fake pot smoking party, and you can play your awesome version of "If." It'll be way better than anything that ever happened in Joni Mitchell's stupid lame life.
And Zita might even dance for us. . . .

I actually requested that song before I even knew this Joni Mitchell story! I told Martin I wanted to hear it, and he looked at me and said, "Is there a story behind you wanting to hear it?" Isn't that bizzare? I'm glad you sang it!!
